Augmented Reality Dinosaur Book “Dinosaurs Alive” – an amazing new technology that allows your webcam to recognize pages in the book and turn them into 3D images that you can control on your computer. Prepare to be amazed as dinosaurs roam around the page! All you need is a computer, a webcam and a copy of “Dinosaurs Alive”. The software to run the animation is on the disc inside the book.

Hardware: a webcam, CPU: Intel Pentium 4.2GHZ or above or AMD equivalent, RAM: 1GB memory, Graphics card: most graphic cards and onboard chipsets are suitable (e.g. Nvidia, ATI and Intel). Software: Windows XP SP2 or above, Windows Vista. Mac. Hardware: a webcam, CPU: Intel Core Duo 2.4GHZ or above, RAM 1GB memory, Graphics card: Nvidia, ATI or Intel. Software: Mac OS 10.4 and 10.5.

How do you make the application of augmented reality is compatible with Windows what programs are used
For starters, I didn’t make the app for this book, this is only a DEMO of what other developers did. I haven’t tried yet, but one of the users provided a link (Vuforia standalone) in order to make vuforia work on PC platform. However, I haven’t tried it yet and right now I can’t find the link it’s somewhere in one of the tutorials comments place.
